Balanced derivatives, identities, and bounds for trigonometric and Bessel series

چکیده

Motivated by two identities published with Ramanujan's lost notebook and connected, respectively, the Gauss circle problem Dirichlet divisor problem, in an earlier paper, three of present authors derived representations for certain sums products trigonometric functions as double series Bessel [8] . These are generalized paper introducing novel notion balanced derivatives, leading to further theorems. As we will see below, regions convergence unbalanced case entirely different than those case. From this viewpoint, it is remarkable that Ramanujan had intuition formulate entries are, our new terminology, “balanced”. If x denotes number appearing sums, addition proving mentioned above, theorems conjectures upper lower bounds → ∞ established.

Fibonacci numbers and trigonometric identities

Webb & Parberry proved in 1969 a startling trigonometric identity involving Fibonacci numbers. This identity has remained isolated up to now, despite the amount of work on related polynomials. We provide a wide generalization of this identity together with what we believe (and hope!) to be its proper understanding.

List of trigonometric identities

Cosines and sines around the unit circle In mathematics, trigonometric identities are equalities that involve trigonometric functions and are true for every single value of the occurring variables. Geometrically, these are identities involving certain functions of one or more angles. They are distinct from triangle identities, which are identities involving both angles and side lengths of a tri...

Rearrangements of Trigonometric Series and Trigonometric Polynomials

Abstract. The paper is related to the following question of P. L. Ul’yanov: is it true that for any 2π-periodic continuous function f there is a uniformly convergent rearrangement of its trigonometric Fourier series? In particular, we give an affirmative answer if the absolute values of Fourier coefficients of f decrease. Also, we study a problem how to choose m terms of a trigonometric polynom...

Partial Fraction Decompositions and Trigonometric Sum Identities

The partial fraction decomposition method is explored to establish several interesting trigonometric function identities, which may have applications to the evaluation of classical multiple hypergeometric series, trigonometric approximation and interpolation. 1. Trigonometric Identities and Sums of Separable Functions

Modern computers have made commonplace many calculations that were impossible to imagine a few years ago. Still, when you face a problem with a high physical dimension, you immediately encounter the Curse of Dimensionality [1, p.94]. This curse is that the amount of computing power that you need grows exponentially with the dimension. The simplest manifestation of this curse appears when you tr...
